About

andrew2 Born in San Antonio, ANDREW ROSAS was raised a steady diet of Looney Tunes, The Simpsons, and Monty Python. From an early age he wrote short stories and bad jokes and worked toward his childhood dream of growing up to be a mid-century hobo or a cartoon wolf. He went to a magnet program for film and theatre in high school and then came to Austin for a degree in English Writing from St. Edward’s University. While playing for a local softball league, Andrew met Mac Blake and was asked to join STAG Comedy. He works as a freelance writer and leader of the pop band Ghostward. He currently quotes The Simpsons too much and searches craigslist for non-sexual job openings with keyword “pants-less.”
David Jara DAVID JARA has been a writer and performer with STAG Comedy since 2009. In addition to his work with Stag, David has many irons in the Austin comedy fire; he is a frequent contributor to the award-winning Master Pancake Theater, co-produces ColdTowne Theater’s popular The Hustle Show, and is one-half of “The Mascot Wedding Show”, a podcast he co-hosts with fellow STAG Mac Blake. David spends his time away from Stag obsessing over movies and baseball, but not movies about baseball, except for the original Bad News Bears and the first Major League.
Lance Gilstrap LANCE GILSTRAP is a part of improv troupes Midnight Society (twice nominated for a B. Iden Payne Award), Elevator Action and a regular cast member in marquee shows at ColdTowne Theater. He writes and performs with STAG Comedy and the Alamo Drafthouse’s Master Pancake Theater. Lance appeared in the Mike Judge film Idiocracy for less than a second and has since been telling people that he “works in the movies”.
Ximena EstradaOriginally from Managua, Nicaragua, actress and comedian XIMENA ESTRADA was one of the founding members of the award-winning Mascot Wedding Productions (along with Mac, Dave, and David) which joined with STAG in 2009. Ximena performs regularly with the comedy/variety show The Hustle Show and with the Austin Improv powerhouse Precious Dads. In her free time she likes to chase pooches and kick ducks.
Mac Blake MAC BLAKE comes from the bearded streets of Austin, TX. Mac joined STAG in 2009 as part or the comedy/short film team Mascot Wedding. He’s an accomplished stand-up comedian performing at the New Faces of Comedy Showcase at Just for Laughs Montreal, SXSW Comedy, the Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival, and more. He was also the winner of the 2013 Funniest Person in Austin contest. Listen to him talk about comics on the Mascot Wedding Show, a podcast he co-hosts with David. You can also catch him as part of the improv troupes Franco and Malk (w/ Lance Gilstrap).
