SXSWrap-up

Hello beloved peeps. How’s it going? Cool. Stag performed at SXSW last week, at the Next Stage at the convention center. Performing in the corner of a trade show was a little unwieldy at first but I thought the show picked up steam at the end once all the people expecting free suglasses left. Don’t ask me, though, ask Samantha Pitchel from The Huffington Post.

One of Austin’s most accomplished groups, Stag blends witty, weird sketch and video, with an aesthetic that’s half Tim and Eric, half The State, and always awesome. While the Next Stage, nestled in the corner of the SXSWi trade show, is sort of in the middle of the cluster-eff of apps and CMS start-ups hawking their wares, the group’s high energy (and high volume) attracted a sizeable crowd.

I think we’re the Eric half. Anyway, the rest of the week was spent in a sugarstorm of awesomeness and free drinks. Here’s a tipsy interview of our own Ximena Estrada from Portland-based comedian and writer Sean Ongley.

We got some shows coming up in the next two months and as always check the mothership for our other adventures.
